4 month check-up

Owen was 4 months old on Christmas Day! Wow...time is flying!!! And he had his 4 month wellness exam on Friday, January 2nd. This boy is growing out of control :) Okay, not really...but he is growing well and staying on the same growth curve....he is in the 25th percentile for his age. Basically that means he is a bit on the small side (50 is average) but this is just him. In the last 2 months, Owen has gained almost 3 pounds and has grown 2 inches. At the exam he was 13lbs 13oz and 24.5 inches.
Owen's development is also right on track, if not even a bit advanced! His pediatrician said that he is more in line with a 5-month-old right now. We are so proud of him! To get him crawling "tummy time" is very important, but we can not keep him on his tummy for long...he loves to roll over to his back. His little legs are SO strong and he kicks and pushes himself around a bit now...luckily not too far yet. With those strong legs he also LOVES to stand (with our support, of course). Owen also loves to talk/babble (I wonder where he gets that from) and we just love to listen and conversate with him. He has such an adorable personality and smiles all the time.
Overall, he is a happy and healthy little boy. Our only "struggle" has been with acid reflux...he continues to be on medicine but we are not sure if it is quite doing what it's suppose to...we continue to monitor his progress and provide his pediatrician with updates. We'll see where we go from here. Hopefully starting cereal on a regular basis now will begin to help him keep his food down and eventually the issue will go away.
Sorry no picture this time...I'll post more soon...of course we take them, just haven't downloaded them from the camera yet. I have a SUPER cute video of him laughing...it'll be here soon.
Happy New Year to everyone! Take care!
